Cielo MedSolutions Appoints Healthcare Industry Advisory Board Members

Industry leaders to assist software startup with strategic direction

Ann Arbor, MI (April 10, 2008) – Healthcare software company Cielo MedSolutions announces the formation of a Healthcare Advisory Board to assist and support the senior management team by providing high-level guidance and direction regarding strategy, technology and market trends, strategic alliances and product development. The advisory board, comprised of four industry experts, will also provide personal contacts and introductions with potential customers and strategic partners.

Members of the industry advisory board include Thomas Anderson, Ph.D., Jenifer Hughes, Ned Simpson, and Lincoln Smith.

Charter members of the Healthcare Industry Advisory Board include the following individuals:

Thomas Anderson, Ph.D.
A member of the Beaumont Hospital (Michigan) board of directors and a long-time healthcare industry consultant, Dr. Anderson currently serves as Senior Director of Automation Alley, an economic development agency in Southeast Michigan. He holds a Ph.D. in neurobiology from the University of Michigan, and previously held the position of Director of Research at General Motors Research.

Jenifer Hughes
A veteran healthcare industry executive, Ms. Hughes oversees Oakland Southfield Physicians P.C., a large independent practice association (IPA). She is also active in a number of industry organizations, including the Greater Detroit Area Health Council, the Southeast Michigan Health Information Exchange, and the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Physician Group Incentive Program.

Ned Simpson
Mr. Simpson is a nationally-renowned innovator and thought leader in healthcare information technology. Currently serving in the role of Senior Program Manager at CSC Global Health Solutions, he has previously served as CIO of multiple health systems and hospitals. Mr. Simpson is Lifetime Fellow of HIMSS, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, where he is Past Chairman and President.

Lincoln Smith
As President and CEO of the Altarum Institute, a national nonprofit organization focused on healthcare systems research, Mr. Smith is intimately involved with healthcare policy issues, trends and initiatives at the highest level, both in industry and government.

The Healthcare Industry Advisory Board provides advice that is complementary in nature to the advice provided by Cielo MedSolutions’ Medical Advisory Board comprised primarily of physicians active in clinical, research and/or administrative capacities. The Healthcare Industry Advisory Board is not involved in any way with corporate governance, management decision-making, or financial or legal matters, which are the responsibility of the Company's executive management team.
